The infamous midnight ride of Amphipoda...
Listen my fin finned friends, even if you are non-grata;
Of the midnight ride of Amphipoda.
On the tenth of August, two thousand and one;
Our brave hero arose l-o-n-g before the sun.
A mission to spread his amphibious seed;
"One if by land, and two if by sea."
The reference to his loving Mermaid;
Who eagerly endured this lustful raid.
As the enemy dawn revealed their hiding;
Amphipoda's endurance began declining.
There is hardly a man alive today,
Who would bother remember that infamous day.
Except on the opposite shore that morning,
Spied by a mercenary who was truly forlorn.
The new day upon them as they floated,
Suddenly surrounded by Rangers all fat & bloated.
Summoned before his majesty the judge,
Amphipoda and Mermaid now unable to budge.
The fine was minimal, but the punishment rather severe,
One thousand hours community service for that exposed rear.
