I've yet to put the engine in, but the car is wired. I'd like to check the
integity of the wiring. Is there a way I can safely energize the system using my
battery charger? Is has a 2 amp and 6 amp mode.

Thanks,
Randy

Randy,

-Remove all your fuses 1st!!
-Check to be sure you have power where you expect it to be.
-Check all your grounds again (did you use star washers *between* the
eyelets and the screws and *not* between the body and the eyelet? The
best connection to the body is through the eyelet to the star washer
into the threads and NOT the body's painted surface)
-Apply 12V @ the 6A level @ your battery cables and a good ground.
-Feel all of your wiring harness for hot spots (indicate possible
short) especially near connections.
-Move around the connections looking for sparks or broken wires.
-Replace your fuses 1 at a time. If they blow, find and fix the
problem before you put in another.
-Once again, feel the fuses and then the wiring harness again for
heat.
-Now go back and move/shake/pull/push the connections again while
accessories (lights, signal etc) are on (one at a time) and observe
intermittent operation.
-Correct any problems.

It's not the wire that makes it work, it's the smoke within. ;) Don't
let the smoke out of the wires or it won't work! ;)
