Swimming with the dolphins

Howdy all,

Went for a swim on Sunday afternoon, and was pleased to be joined by a trio of Dolphins. They swam under the car and followed us down the river on our port flank (I think they appreciate decent fins).

My wife took a snap as they peeled off for more exciting venues.

I sure hope that was not in salt or brackish water.
I have a customer, who took his in brackish water after I had just replaced all his wheel cylinders with new ones. At the end of the season when I inspected his brakes half of them were all seized up!When I phoned and asked him if he had taken it in the salt he said no. I said ,.don.t lie to me, , he replied only once in Brackish water*****You can wash the rest of the car off but how do you get it out of the brakes!
Many years ago I did same thing by mistake in Fl. and was asking a canoeist where the Manatee were. He looked down and said right below us.
We could not get the camrea out in time!

The water is indeed brackish. More salty in the summer, less so in the winter. Considered moving the family to a more Amphicar-friendly water source.....too hard.

I'll face whatever consequences arise from fun in the river. I've just overhauled the complete brake system, and I'll do it again when needed. I fix when required - or pay to have fixed.

Rhys
