Sunken Amphicar

Ah ha! The Berkshire Eagle finally spills the whole story regarding that sunken
Amphi. It was raised from the Stockbridge Bowl (which I guess is what they call
ponds in Western Massachusetts). Here's a very good, balanced story in a little
regional paper (they even checked their facts at a couple of Amphi sites!!!):

Now I want to find out about the Amphi that sunk at Block Island back in the
mid 60's. Stories told of a group of wealthy business men that were a "little"
Buzzed, took a trip to Block Island one evening and when they arrived a
passenger opened the door to get out and the car sunk at the ramp.

I heard about this back in 1968 when I bought my first Amphi.

Ed,

That is the article I posted several weeks ago. Trust me, it does NOT
have the whole story! I am still hopeing to have something special
related to it for Celina. It may or may not happen, keep your fingers
crossed!
