Steve,
If your VW sunvisors are like the ones I got, you have one more problem
besides the different mounting holes. The window frame in the old VW bus is
more vertical than the one in the Amphicar. The result is that the VW
mounting bracket is not stiff enough to hold the sunvisors flush with the
windshield. Mine have a tendency to slowly creep out, and into my face. I
solved the problem with a piece of velcro on each sunvisor.
Based on your reluctance to drill new mounting holes I figure you will
not what to attached velcro to your car and sunvisors.
