Can someone tell me what the recommended lubricant is for the steering

thanks,

90w is adequate, Amsoil is better but there is something even better for this
particular application. An Australian company called Penritre make a special
steering box lube, this was developed in association with ZF who make the
original box. It's very high viscosity so doesn't tend to leak from the little
rubber seal where the horn cable goes through. It also has anti corrosion
additives and should never need changing. I've used it in my Amphicars for many
years, I was told about it by an engineer with Mercedes and Borgward cars that
use the same steering box.

Penrite have a UK website here http://www.penrite.co.uk which mentions the
product is now available in the US.

Thanks, David. Just need to top it off before I reinstall the gas tank.
