Greetings all,
Here in Minnesota, spring came fast and so did the yard work. It was 70 degrees about three weeks ago and the ice was still present on area lakes. April 14th, 450 two foot trees we ordered in February arrived so there went three days. The site where ourbarn and silo stoodreceived three loads of black dirt and about two hours of Bobcat work to level it off, drag and rocks picked. Took Amphicar outside and washed the layer of winter dust off last Saturday. Discovered leaky brake last fall had left reservoir empty and fluid on the floor. Put Amphi on hoist, pulled tire and drum, looked for leak, couldn't locate. By then it was about 10:00.

After another ten hour work day, dragged barn site again, picked more rock and spread oats and grass seed before tomorrows rain. Then, #2 son says "dad, can you help me move tonight 'cause its going to rain tomorrow" (his day off). After more discussion I give in and empty the enclosed Amphi trailer of its contents, tell him to call his buddies for help, drive 30 miles one way, empty his apartment in record time and we are home by 9:30. Amphi is still on the hoist awaiting my attention. Tomorrow night, #3 son needs hoist to fix transfer case leak, "should take 15 minutes dad". And his buddy needs to change his front hubs.It better rain this weekend so I can get my own shop time with Amphi !

Spoke to The Wave today.I wanted to know moreabout Kozy. Sounds like a nice place but I like being close to the action. Mercer CountyFairgrounds is only about3/4 of a mile from Celina's main drag. They have tons of sites and like I said in an earlier post, lots of mature shade trees which was nice in the heat we experienced last year. And KD, you forgot one price they charge. An extra dollar a day if you run AC in your RV making their rate $16.00 per day.

A busy spring to say the least. Maybe I'll get-er-wet on Sunday.

Ahhh spring. All that almost makes winter look good. We stayed at Kozy for our 2002 trip. A nice place, but itis way too far from the Eagles & action central. --L&N
