Help me figure this one out. I have been plagued with spark plugs fouling
out. As those of you who were at Davis swim know, we were smokin real bad in the
river. I started working on the car on Wednesday and cannot come up with any
definite answers. I started out by changing the oil for a fresh start. I used
Valvoline Maxlife sae 30. Maxlife is advertised for "older engines." Well,
after the oil change it really smokes. I mean really smokes. After a while it
cleared up and was not smoking. I go out for a test drive and it was running
well.
Then I lost a cylinder. Went home and pulled the plugs and two were wet. They
were wet but it did not look like oil. I did a compression check and found
all four cylinders right at 125psi. Any ideas were I should continue my hunt?
