Something so simple can save you a headache, time and money.
When jacking up my cars, I try using factory jack points so that the
car is lifted with correct weight distribution and safety.
The Amphicar has square jacking tubes mounted below the doors. When
I use my floor jack under these tubes, I always place a square piece
of steel of almost the same inside size to avoid collapsing this
square tube and rendering it useless, which would give me a headache,
use my precious time and make me spend money that I could use for
swimming gas.
