OPPS<<<

The small bulbs fit perfect in my Amphicar and I tested them all out, most 12V some 18V 24V,, and are much brighter, I can see the blue in daytime,
But when we went to put one in Rons Amphi we fouind that none would fit, without forcing them, soo at this time I can not sell any, till i work on this problem so hold on a bit John F.I will be heading home in a few weeks and can work then.

Gord,

Hugh once told me that there were a couple of thread types used on those switches. I've looked into about 8 of those bilge pump switches and they all used a bulb with the same, odd, thread. If the bases look like those in this photo, send some along and I'll check them out.

Only having one car....and one bilge pump switch....I still can confirm that there must be different sockets. I bought a bulb several years ago (from Gord or Hugh - I don't remember) and it didn't fit. I assumed it was my switch that was the problem. I certainly don't blame the seller. I tried (with limited sucess) to get it wedged in there, but I think I finally broke the bulb messing with it.
I'd be glad to hear if anyone has a way to figure out which bulb goes in which switch other than trial and error. At this point, I've never had a bulb since I don't know what to get.

Marc.

Gord,

Actually, that pic is of the working bulb that's in my White car.

About 7 or 8 years ago Hugh had a number of odd bulbs at his shop and none of them fit the switches that I have. Hugh didn't make any claim about the ones he had working though because he was suspect of them too.

Sometimes Radio Shack has a bulb that fits some of the switches. I'm still not home so I can't give you the number.
