Hello all,
Normally I am a jokester and fun type guy. But this one stabs me
right in the heart.
I had to sell one of my Amphicars to get caught up with life's
challenges. It is like losing a relative. I feel lost knowing that
maybe this summer I have to bum a ride instead of giving a ride.

The people are from Lake Forest Illinois (a suburb north of Chicago)
and seem very nice, Their names are Luke and Jeanne They are very
excited and I am sure they will give it a good home. I have sold many
cars in my life but have never had this weird feeling that I am going
through. I guess deep down, I was hoping it would not sell. The
positive thing is that I have one sitting in the garage waiting for
the love and attention that I plan to give it. I really dread getting
my 240 pound body into the engine conpartment and cleaning every
little nook and cranny preparing it for paint, but it must be done..
Kay is also depressed, but willing to help me clean parts and get
this baby back in motion after 30 years. I guess I just had to let
everyone know how I feel, It helps when you talk to friends and I
know I got that with all of you!

I understand how you must feel. The past few years I have been
thinking about selling my Corvette that I've owned for 33 years and
have restored twice. I have too much stuff and not enough time to
enjoy my toys. Maintaining everything and working a full time job is
starting to wear me down.

See if you didn't start washing your Amphi maybe it wouldn't have
sold.

Hopefully Kay and you will still go to the Celina and Canada swim
ins. You can hitch a ride with us or use my Amphi when not in use.

John -

I know what you mean. I have sold a few cars (of different makes) in
my life and had fun with them all. If I were to have to sell my ivory
Amphi, I would feel like I was loosing a piece of me. Odd, maybe,
but I have more fun with that car than any other toy. My Harley comes
ina close 2nd, but it is not the same flavor of fun as my Amphi. I
always did like that car! Did ya keep your horn? Please say you did!
HONK HONK! I know you and Kay will make the next one "yours" too.
