NOTICE - I do not know what is going on, but at 11 PM 2 days ago I posted the
following notice on the Amphicar Lovers Website, as I had just rfeceived a
call from the INN on the Green that they had had an unexpected cancellation of
several rooms (not by Amphicar people.) These were the first free rooms for the
March 27th-28th weekend that they had in over 2 months. I checked today,
Thursday March 18th and the notice did not get out.
NOTICE: I just received a call this evening (15 minutes ago) from the Inn on
the Green that they had a group (not Amphicar people) who had made
reservations for the weekend of March 26-27th and these rooms have now become
available.
The Manager whose name is Gail said she has calls every day about the March
26-27th weekend and until tonight, they have had no rooms available for several
weeks so they will likely go fast.
The number to call is:
(800) 935-2935 - Be sure to mention you are with the Amphicar group to get
the Amphicar rate which is $79 per night.
For the 2 nights, Tax and all = $ 175.38
For your information, I just called one person who had called me recently
about rooms and he called me back as I was typing this
e-mail to say that he had needed 2 rooms for 3 days - Thurs, Friday and
Saturday, but they only had one that was available for all 3 days. So at this
moment, they still have one available for all 3 days and otherwise for Friday
and
Saturday there are presently more than one room available. This underscores the
fact that rooms for that particular weekend are in demand as there are other
events in the area at the same time.
Good luck. Any of you who have been procrastinating and still want to enjoy
some warmth, sunshine and Amphicar comraderie, jump quickly.
