Newest Amphibian on the block but I think it may be a while before we
see competition at the boats ramps. Government safety requirements
like impact tests, air bags, ABS braking, strict emission testing
along with a dealer network and parts supplies might make their lives
difficult. Wonder what the price tag is?

I know they've been looking for one for years and years. Butisn't that choice of "Rodedawg" as the marque namemaybe just a little bit of a handicap for any watering conveyance?

When I worked on various antique vessels inSan Francisco in the late 70s, the term "road dog" referred to a chunk of floating excrement, such as one will often spot happily bobbing along from time to time anywhere whereheads (i.e. toilets) make a straight shot for the waves. Since the term "road dog" was used byall of the far-crustier-than-I old salts I worked alongside to refer variouslyeitherto "bobbing buttmuffins" or, rather morederisively, to ourboss Jim, I have always assumed it wascommonplace and well-established seamans' jargon.Perhaps our fellow Amphi-owner Victor N., who has a LOT more actual tall ship sailing time under his belt than I (with really only lots of in-port rigging maintenance jobs to speak of, making me so ultra-employable for the 1880s), can confirm or disagree on this linguistic point. If it's so, then that's an awfully brave monikerby which to christen any water vehicle you might actually be wanting tosell, isn't it? Hmmm...Sounds like a fine poll question. Amphipoda? You'll get right on that, yeah?

A poll you say? Road Dog as in a Pool Hersey,
a River Ripper, a Sea Stink Pickel, a Lake Relief
Log, or as you say "bobbing butt muffin"? Aw gee
whiz Bilgy... I'm struggling for credibility here
mate. If I go an poll members on that mess I'll
never live it down. Butt then again...

Hard to imagine I used to do the whole Club website, such as it was,
using pokey 28.8-if-I'm-lucky dialup access speeds. No way I could
have managed by dialup anything like those ultra-slick licks that
Cap'n John's been tricking the site out with lately (Well done,

contact me directly might want to note the change to my new "
