Reverse river wave - not for Amphicar

This happens about 10 miles from my house, strange conditions coincide to create a "bore" on our local river, like a mini tidal wave which comes up the river at around 10mph and the river appears to be flowing backwards.
Amphicar could go through it (with roof up) but would likely have a very wet engine if it tried to go in the same direction.

When I lived in Venezuela, I saw this phenomenon happen on the Orinoco and Caroni rivers (tributaries of the Amazon) with waves up to 6', it's quite a sight to see. I wouldn't want to surf it though as there are many things with big teeth in the black waters of the Orinoco or the muddy waters of the Caroni like Piranhas that look at you as lunch.
