Rear Hub

Is there any specific torque for the rear hubs? Is it similar to the front
hubs? I cannot find any reference in the manual and have always "winged it"
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike

I'd be interested in one in any condition except bent.
Sounds like a puller was used without extra support. Between rust and
incorrect spacers the hub can become nearly impossible to pull off
without damage. I have a heavy duty three arm puller that I attach to a
plate bolted to hub via lug nuts. The plate usually takes the abuse with
no damage to hub. Also be aware if a used one is installed-some have
spun on the axle when keyway breaks. So what happens is inside diameter
is bigger. Make sure axle bearing spacers are installed correctly. Later

Hey Dave did you try that guy on ebay? In the 'buy it now'' section he has been slowly selling off a blue 1964 piece by piece. Bill Morril or something like that. go to one of his parts and ask a question...U NEVR NO, Amphigr66n.

Bill Morril is a very nice, friendly guy to talk to. He has an e-bay store & claims to have so many Amphicar parts. When I was looking for parts to restore my Amphicar I spent many hours talking toon the phone ro him & rhwn waiting for him to call me back about the parts I needed. He ALWAYS had EVERYTHING I needed but somehow could never find them in his stock. I could not get any parts from him although we had many nice conversations. Just my 2 cents. Ina in the Boro

My 2 cents....Beware of Mr Bill Morrill, AKA Great Lakes E-store. He is a theif! He is selling parts off of a Blue FinlessAmphi originally from Michigan that I am currently restoring. It was an empty shell that had the fins removed long ago and wassold on ebayby Cigarman June 2006. Isent him $180. for top frame weatherstrip channels,waited5 months to receive the wrong parts, I sent them back to him and I have never received the right parts or my money back. Wont respond to mails or phone calls!
