Hi Steve -

No, last year was quite a disappointment. After Ford had personally assured
me that he would do something to improve the ramp situation and he and I
discussed by phone and/or e-mail several possible solutions and then
absolutely nothing had been done from the previous year. Being quartered so far
from the mainstream, we were in fact like very distant relatives. As you
remember, we could not hear the loudspeakers or know what was going on. Then
our lunch was delivered so late that we had no time to enjoy it before
having to get going for the one and only Swim-In opportunity. Without someone
of the staff by the ramp full time, going in for more than one session is
not feasible as coming out can be a problem if wind or current from the
speedboats causes you to drift at all to the side of the narrow dual ramps. The
public attending the show have certainly been disappointed each year when
they got to where the Amphicars were sitting to find out that if they were
not there at 1 pm, they had missed out seeing the Amphicars splash in and
what makes them so unique. We are going to Carlisle and Hershey and have
enough on our calendar to keep us busy.
