Lovely, the rain has condensed the snow into a thick slippery ice mass.
>From the phone calls and Emails everyone else is sick of winter
too(minus Florida and California) Started on new doors for Brown Wonder
so I can return the ones I borrowed . I now cant get that bilgeing
"Aquarius" song out of head. I asked Doug to consider a tie dye type of
Celina T shirt. Later Dave the Wave

Its good to have an Amphi no matter what condition. Just a couple of
weeks ago I went 23 hours Amphi less. Others just can not see it. Marge
has been giving it "the look" . The UPS guy said "Wow what a rust bucket
!". The parts delivery guy really could not see the potential. I am
taking two weeks hopefully in October. I have been practicing making
that bilgeing raised lip in one continuos piece of sheet metal. It can
really bilge me off , all it takes is a tiny move off center and entire
piece is junk. Hugh is shipping me a couple of lower door skins. These
are a new part from him and my fingers are crossed. I should be getting
in a new reproduction front bumper any day now too. This is from a club
member that could not wait and had the tooling made and is currently
punching them out. Now if some one would work on fiberglass doors. That
would really be cool. Marge's fam damnly has thier reunion in Tennessee.
It was not bad when in Chicago. She left with kids for about a week and
I would visit for a day. Now I get to enjoy the whole week. Eric is
allowing me to take his Amphi with. Now the trip sounds a whole lot
better! Thanks Eric. Viva Celina! Later Dave the Wave

I saw these bumpers today at Dave's place.
They are very smooth and clean, they could pass for originals.

You must read the instructions (look under "Edit My Membership") to
be taken off the list.

Why is this always so difficult?

Ah, Dave, we are getting a little selfish here, aren't
we? LOL Margie has said "Its all about Dave" She does say it in a
mean way though. Craig you better video that adventure. I woud like to
see what it looks like up there. Chrome things are starting to show up
for my next car. I think over kill is a suitable term. The tree I dug
out of the car is growing nicely. I was watching some video of Brown
Wonder and wish it was still here. Now I need a name for the rusty
yellow one. Later Dave the Wave

We love you anyway!

This list is amazing. With one post I have multiple people interested
in My yellow Amphi. Now I just wish people that own building would show
it to me. Margie is getting scared again. She remembered how I got last
time I was Amphiless. But this time it is different. I have many items
lined up. Cool guy engine is nearly done, wide whites are being
delivered. Trans is in test bed. More yards of yellow vynil have been
ordered. A set of those sweet stainless steel hubcaps are on shelf along
with door handles and rear bumpers. Those parts are some of the best
things Hugh has made. Now once I get a few others cars done I will start
into My stretch Amphi. A project long over due. I love using the Amphis
but something about building them really gets hold of Me.
1) 12 inch stretch in door
2) Rear wheel arch changed to match front
3) extend seat tracks for better comfort
4) 1300 with Weber
5) heat and ac from Vintage Air
5a) using ac to cool what used to be glove box.
5b) ac vents in seats-no more sweaty backs and butts!!
6) lots of added insulation
7)Convert later model convertible top for electric operation
8) build custom gas tank with more capacity
I think too much about this goofy stuff. By using door as stretch area.
Lots of things get to stay the same. It gets a lot harder stretching
rear quarter. Glass and top frame become big hurdles. Not so using door.
