We were using anothers Amphi using a bridal style tow rope. Tied between
both bumperettes. All was well till we were forced to stop (back up).
Rope pulled prop off and pulled one bumperette side ways. Behind the
horizontal aluminum bumper was lots and lots of rust. I see lots of
Amphis with rust in that spot. If you havent I suggest pulling rubber
out and taking a look.
Tow hitches. I take a piece of 2 inch wide strap weld nuts to it. Weld
strap between braces on inside of hull. Pulling force is then on frame
not on hull. I use three nuts. So on out side you have nothing till you
bolt on your outside part of hitch.
