<font face="Arial" size="2">It's a 3 -1 reduction in water transmissionand so at max the props turn about 1000rpm - a standard Amphi can rev to about 3300rpm in the water - on that basis andtaking in to account power losses in transmission, the motor for each prop needs to be about 15HP - which is around 10kW. </font>

If you want to test then sacrifice rearseat space and maybe put some sort of belt on the yoke of the prop as it leaves the water transmission, could then run them with normal water drive in neutral to test but you've got backup.</font>
