Dave, what difference does it make to the way the car turns in water ? I
was told it was a factory mod to remove them as the car turns much better
without but I don't think I've ever driven a very early car with them still
fitted so don't know for sure.
I never noticed any difference. This car still retained broken and rusted prop shields. Using them as a pattern made new. Car looks factory done. I thought the shields were removed to help eliminate broken props from river debris. Tree limb would get caught and have no where to go. Later Dave the Wave
I'm not sure what they were for originally, to protect the props or help direction. The ones you have made look excellent in the picture, all the curves and seams as they should be, a cracking job !
I use to make them and replaced them on my 1st cars.. Now I recomend removing them unless you have to have Original..
they do run in water better without them.. more speed... yea right.
less prop cavitating and then the daMAGE THING..
