prop shaft u-joints

The closest prop shaft u-joint that I have been able to find is a model
220 1660. It is a 30 mm unit and several companies make it . It was
for a BMW rear axle. Only one slight problem. The u-joint itself is a
bit short and my axle shop had to put spacers at the end. On each joint
they put one spacer with a threaded plug so that a grease nipple can be
screwed in. Unless you want a grease coated engine compartment I don't
think the nipple should be left in. Also - these puppies are pricey -
about $70 eaach.
