All the parts except props and pads have always been available for less.
Wait till You need an Amphicar only part. Then You will see the
increases. Hey Hugh what happened to the story You told me and others
about announcing the price changes and then a two week time frame before
implementing? Later Dave the Wave P.S.
I think the Club should send Red Cross a check if our balance is positive.

I don't, it's not a shortage of money that is the problem. </tt>

I have not seen the new price list yet myself. My own
copy of the parts catalog is 5 years old!

What you heard is similar to what I did. I was told
that when the web site launched that there would be a
price increase along with the catalog being available
on-line. Was also told that everyone would be
notified ahead of time and given the chance to
purchase at old prices. In my case this info did not
come from Hugh but from one of the staff.

Still not clear if the price increase actually took
place or not????

Red Cross donation sounds like a great idea. Maybe
even in lieu of the traditional annual gift to
members.

David,

I'm not sure Amphicars would be much help as rescue vehicles in this
situation but where are all the expensive military amphibious
vehicles? I haven't seen one yet. Heck the old Army DUK's would
have worked fine and been able to carry a lot of people. I guess
they are all tourist boats nowadays.

The total incompetence of local and Federal officials is almost
unbelievable. How is it possible that the police radio system can be
knocked out by water in a city that is built under water? How is it
that there were absolutely no contingency plans for a broken levee?
How is it that the pumps to pump water out of the city are electric
powered and they don't have their own generators?

Believe me Dave, this situation is an embarrassment to all thinking
people around here and the political posturing has been incredible.
We certainly have the best government that money can buy.
