For the record, I just want everyone to know that our President Amphipoda (aka: John Edelstein) was entirely responsible for the 2006 T-shirt design. I was just the guy working the pensile. I got a call from him a while back asking me if I wanted to do the artwork on this years T-shirt. I sheepishly said sure, I'll give it a shot. And in that photo was my Amphicar with me and a friend that just came out under the bridge. This is where I started to get into the whole project. I had fun doing it and love the results thanks to President Amphipoda's creative visions and willingness to step out of the box. Too, as the MC at this years banquet, President Poda did not receive any recognition for HIS contributions to the IAOC. If I may publicly say, thanks Poda for all of your contributions to Celina, the news letters which I love to read and all that you've done for our club.

Brian,

You, Poda and Captain John (who contributed the front design as I
understand it) all deserve a round of applause for a very unique tee
shirt. You know its good when you see different details every time
you look at it, or maybe it took me a few nights at Celina to absorb
it all between the heat and beer. The people waving on the bridge are
cool however I didn't see the creature from the black lagoon until
later.

I like the black as most of my white Tee's somehow attract stains.
You know the thought process, I'll be careful unstrapping Amphi, etc
with a new white tee only to end up with strap and grease stains that
look like you had it tie-dyed.

Re: Re: President Poda

Yes! I agree totally with Ron and Brian, Poda did a
great job and I too prefer a black T. The art work was
awesome. It was only my second Celina, and even
without a top with the scorching heat and torrential
rain, it was the most fun I had all year. Thanks to
everyone that made it a great event.

Larry,

I believe you were the one I asked to get the baby frog off my front
trunk lid at Ducky's in Celina. At first I didn't think you believed
me but for those that weren't there;

Approximately 17 Amphicar loaded with people had lunch at Ducky's and
it rained hard at least 3 times. When we went to pull out there was a
baby frog sitting beside my red / green light croaking away and he
didn't want to leave till I started moving. And no I didn't have that
many beers!

Re: Re: President Poda

Ron, As funny as it sounds, I was the guy that brushed
the frog off your car, I guess it knew another
amphibian when it saw one. And I didn't have too much
to drink either.

Thanks Brain and all others, most kind
and generous of you. The praise is nice
but certainly not necessary. I'm really
thankful nobody was hospitalized for heat
stoke while wearing a black t-shirt in that
heat. And knowing how you all endure my
deranged editorial misdirections I should
really be thanking you. Without this Yahoo
forum as an outlet I might drive myself insane...
Oh what a short drive that'd be too.
