Positive ground alternator

I've seen lots of posts about changing to an alternator along with switching to
negative ground. Positive ground alternators do exist. Has anyone made the
switch to a positive ground alternator? If not, why?

I'm having some trouble with my electrical system that seems to point to the
regulator - I'd like to move to an alternator but don't want to go through the
hassle of switching to negative ground. If positive ground alternators aren't
an option, I'll just get a "new" alternator. Any suggestions?

Hello, I have 2 positive ground alternator cars, both model a fords. They
work very well. They are 6 volt but I know they make 12 volt pos ground
units. It sounds like a logical solution and the cost was about 120.00. Good
luck, Mark Amsdill 62 blue Dexter, Mich.
