RE: [Amphicar-lovers] Plug wires

How do they attach to the distributor? Mine look like there built into the
cap.
Thanks

Craig in Alaska,

I went out an bought a set of ACCEL brand 8mm solid-core silicon covered
wires. This was Universal Fit Performance Wire Set No. 4039. These sets are
marketed (and used by) hotrodders. The wires come extra-long so you can cut
them to the length you want, and there are a variety of caps for both ends.

There are kits for 4-cylinder motors. Those I found were specific for
Slammed Hondas and other Hot-Hatches, but nothing for Triumphs. They're way
more money, but come in great colors... I got the V8 set, (on sale...) and
had enough for my Amphicar, one of the Peugeots, and another car if I had
the inclination. If you have snowmobiles or some air-cooled twins, you
could be set for years!
