After some misc work on the newest (red) '62 Amphi, I got it running
pretty good. So my Bro-in-law Ted and I took her for a short drive of
about 3 miles. She ran good but I wouldn't take her on any road trips.
Pretty cool having an Amphi that runs! So far only 2 of the 7 have.

I hope to install the engine in the Amphicar Extraordinaire in a few
weeks. If I could only find a way to get some 4 day weekends, it
would be on the road and maybe on the water too!

M. Dixon - Comparing posts from the drivel you posted to what Randy
posted, is like comparing feces to Roses. Randys post may not have
been in the appropriate forum, but did not have anything derrogatory
about anyone in it, yours on the other hand were things best left in
your head where it will have room to roam.

John,
Free speech is a scary thought for a lot of people
besides yourself around the world but I'll take that
over the alternative. Having someone sensor and decide
what speech they find unobjectionable for everyone
else is a far scarier thought to me. I don't
necessarily agree with Mike and don't even know who he
is but I'll defend his right to say it along with
anyone else I disagree with along as they aren't
advocating violence which he did not if I remember
correctly.
That said, I'd prefer we get back to discussions about
Amphicars and stop beating this dead horse. If
everyone uses up their energy and anger on someone who
merely gave an opinion most didn't like, what'll be
left for the real evil people who are participating in
and encouraging terrorist activities throughout the
world?
