One More banned user

Hi All,

One of the great things about running this list is
"meeting" so many great people. There have been more
than 400 persons registered since we first started and
the group has really become a family. Of course we do
get a bad apple every now and then and they get
banished from the list (remember our racist friend.
Fortunately, the list of outcasts only numbers 3.

One of our more recent members went by the name
carboatman. As you know, I set all new user's posts
to moderated until I see the first message. This
keeps the spammers away. If first message is OK, user
is set to unmoderated. Well, carboatman apparently
disagrees with this policy. When he attempted to post
his first message and was notified that his posts are
moderated he went off the deep end. I will not repeat
the messages which followed, lets just say that he
sees himself as a constitutional lawyer. OK, more
like a constitutional lawyer who specializes in four
letter words!

So, bye-bye carboatman. It was nice knowing ya!

Just means that I do not have to review and approve your posts before they are
made public. Once a new user posts anything even remotely amphi related they
become unmoderated. If first post is an offer from princess abacha to claim a
fortune in Nigeria, user is deleted.

Thanks again Mike for keeping the evil
doers off the board. As entertaining
as some of their posts were, I believe
we all appreciate your moderation diligence
and dedication to the peaceful amphibious
way of life.

I wonder how many times I almost got
banned back in my early (and rather
bizzare) amphibious posting days? I
was all over the place back then as
the gills were still forming and I
was adjusting to the new lifestyle.
My how 5 years has tamed me... a little.
