Off & On headlights

As problems with the new clutch are being adjusted and other prep for
Celina is in process another funny little thing has cropped up.
Our headlights (as they are on low beam) blink on and off slowly.
When the clutch pedal is pressed and released they go off and on. It
doesn't appear to be a problem when switched to the high beam setting.
Mr. Wave suggests the dimmer switch is the problem, Hugh is bringing
one to Celina for us to replace there.
Had anybody else had this sort of problem and found another fix
besides the dimmer switch?
