Amphicar Engine Raffle Believe it or not, but we are going to be raffling off a NOS (New Old Stock) Amphicar Engine. Gord Souter has had this engine for over 20 years. He bought it from the stock of the Canadian Amphicar Distributor when he closed his operation. It has never been installed or running in an Amphicar. Gord has gone through the engine and has started it up. It runs as good as new, because it is "new". Gord is making this motor available to the club to be used as a fund raiser to help cover some of the expenses of the club including the various Swim-Ins. We are hoping to raise over $8,000 like we did when we raffled off the Amphicar Transmission a few years ago. Last year, it was an Amphicar Radiator that was auctioned off for over $600. Gord tells me this is what would be called a "Crate" Engine or Short Block. It does not include accessories like the carburetor, starter, generator, etc. If you have any questions regarding the condition of the motor, what is included or not included, please contact Gord Souter directly. Remember this is a fund raiser for the club, so even if you don't need an extra engine, your purchase of a raffle ticket will go to helping support the IAOC. The drawing will be held on Saturday July 29, 2023 at the Celina Swim-in. The motor will be available for pickup in Celina. You do not need to be present to win. We will make arrangements to ship the engine if you can not pick it up in Celina. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a new engine.
