Another (#99) great newsletter. Two questions after reading it.
1. What are "NOS pieces" (see Gord's classified ad.)? Are they OEM's?
2. re. Mount Dora - insert doesn't provide a list of accomodations - any
recomendations for a cheap & cheerful motel.
Dave Field - living on an island without an Amphi!!!

A question resulting from latest Newsletter (#99), which is once again, GREAT.
1. What are "NOS pieces" (see Gord's Classified ad.)? Are they OEM's?

All the best for 2002 to all members from Dave & Betty Anne Field - on an
island without (at present) an Amphi! Don't seem to miss it much this time
of year, but sure will come spring.

Hi Dave:

NOS stands for "New old stock".

I am enjoying your, whoops, I mean my Amphi this time
of year. It might be 75 degrees here this weekend!

Happy New Year to you too.

Hi Amphicar-lovers,

As an owner of an Amphicar in the sixties I would love to become a member of
your club and receive your Newsletter because I desire to find another
Amphicar or amphibious vehicle to tow behind my Motorcoach as full-time
RV'er. I read this below and wish to participate:

You're about to enter the International Amphicar Owners Club's Members Only
Area. When prompted for a User Name, please use clubmember. As for the
Password, look at page 2 of any issue of the 2001 Club Newsletters (if
you're really a Club Member, you'll have at least one). What is the exact
word directly after the last name of the 6th Boardmember from the top?
That's your password. And remember: PaSsWorDz aRe CasE SenSitiVe. If you
see capital letters, then type capital letters.

Thank you very much

For more information on joining the International Amphicar Owners Club,
please visit http://www.amphicar.com/join.htm . As for getting another
Amphicar, you couldn't choose a better time than wintertime to do this. In
fact, there are several Amphicars in various conditions for sale right now
at http://www.amphicar.ads.htm .

Hope we see you at the big gathering in Celina, Ohio this July! (For more
information on this and other events, see the Club's 'Events Calendar' at

Marc: Awesome newsletter. Yes, we use the State sort for planning
Swim-Ins. Last year we actually called from the list. I think having
it on the site is perfect. Can we print a copy from the site? We are
having the coldest winter in history - and I am really sick of it.
Can't even warm up the pole barn enough to work on the cars. Thickest
ice in years. Whoopie!

Nice job on the newsletter and thank you for the neet little pipe for the bilge. We received it on Saturday even though there was not mail on Friday. Winter is coming, frost on the grass this morning.

Thanks for the kind words on the newsletter
David C. and others who've emailed me privately.
Yes, 2006 is goning to see some newsletter
changes. Based on the early poll results it
appears Tadpole Corner and Boating Safety
will not be carried forward. Fold out
calendars and Angry Amphi are so far not
popular either. Amphipoda's perspective
is still hanging on by a thread... Hmmm.
Please take a minute to go into the polls
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/amphicar-lovers/surveys?id=2042286
and let your opinion be known. It's your
club and your newsletter so please help me
to make it the best it can be. Poll closes
on Dec. 1st so please vote now.

Also, feel free to email me with other ideas
for IAOC newsletter article & topics. The
door is WIDE open to anything and everything
Amphicar related.

Thanks again, be well, swim safe.

Many many thanks Ina. Happy to see at least one
satisfied member on this forum. I've received a
several comments by email too, all in favor except

else have any input? All comments welcome.

Re: Re: Newsletter

I received mine thursday, it looks like it went through the shreder
before they proudly delivered it to my door! I certainly can't wait
until the price of stamps increases, all the great service is worth
it. I do like the new format, a lot, from what I could see!

My issue looked great. For a moment I thought I had received my Victoria Secret catalog. Imagine my disappointment.

Oh $#!+... a half dozen or more members
with shredded newsletters AND a faulty
tech article.

I can send replacements copies of the
newsletter to all who request them, but
please make that request directly to
amphipoda(at)yahoo.com
my email (not on this Yahoo forum). My
apologies for the problem and I will
try the double seal method going forward.
And yes, I do appreciate the feedback
even when it isn't positive.

Speaking of positive... I guess I better
leave the tech articles to the experts
since I don't know my pos from neg leads.
Thanks to Scott and Shellee for the
correction which I will include in the
next issue. Tech article submissions
from experts are always welcome...

Here's hoping 2006 is error free!

John,

Mine was torn as well. I do not need a replacement, just wanted you to
know. Nice newsletter other than that!
