Welcome Katherine and Theo. It was just over one year ago that I was a
new member and since then I have grown to appreciate the value of this
group. When you need advice this site has the answers (we do ask that
you search the archives first). When you can't find a part or you need a
banner it shows up in the mail (Marc Schlemmer). When you need a
Swim-In brochure or an add they mysteriously show up from the
"Bilgemaster". When you need a little humor the site come through
also. (too many to mention). We don't care if you do not have an
Amphicar at present so it's O.K. to participate in the subjects at
hand. I met Theo Sahli last year when I looked at an Amphi which was
for sale. His shop is quite impressive in that it is very orgainized
and crammed full of exotic cars such BMW Isetta, Messerchmitt, Lotus,
TR-3, Ferrari - get it! Since Theo is a hands on mechanic, he has come
to see how our Amphicars fit in with the total car population. One of
the Amphicars he restored is in the Autoland Car Museum in Sherman
Oaks. (Where I got the pattern for my one piece bumpers) . Theo has
the answers to many Amphicar problems. His e-mail is:
theosauto@aol.com.
