Hi all,
Just completed the installation of one of Hugh's "new" rebuilt clutch and pressure plate matched sets.
I used the under the back seat method and I found it to beas hard as heck. Yowee it was hard, but the newclutch works perfect.
Theclutch that came out had 300 or 400 miles on it at most. It looked OK, never wet and you could still read the factory print on the face of the disk. But if chattered so bad you could hardly drivethe carand it had one of those metal throughoutbearings. It lookednew but was loud I thought it would freeze up one day.
So I went back to all stock now it is perfect.
Next I gotta do the clutch in the Red '67 "Corky". I will pull the motor on this one. It could not be any harder that the contortionist routine I went throughlast week. It was so hard.
