Yes, I'm still on the prowl for economical options to haul our Amphi around
for 20 days in July and August...
Someone was kind enough to contact me off-list to mention that they'd met
someone at one of the various gatherings who's been hauling their Amphi
around fairly great distances using one of those little tow dollies, with
the rear wheels up on the dolly, the front wheels down and trailing and the
steering wheel secured with two big rubber tie downs somehow. Says he
swears by it and has traveled huge distances this way with no problems.
Unfortunately, my kindly tipster couldn't recall the fellow's name offhand,
so if you've had any experience hauling your own Amphi with a tow dolly in
this manner, I would love to hear from you at bilgemeister@amphicar.net or
703-455-3516 with any experience, warnings, tips, etc. that you may be able
offer on this technique.
Thanx!
