Thanks Bilgy:
My favorite by the way is "Bilgemaster Does Baltimore".
There was a movie (very bad movie as I understand it called) Cotton Pickin
Chicken Pickers (or something similar) which Dan Borgman tells me about but
I've not been able to reference it anywhere. Has anyone heard of it? Dan
said it was a real flop filmed in Florida.
I've also watched a few Amphi video's at
http://www.britishpathe.com/index.php and suggest everybody take a look.
There are several neat video's and the Amphi is the actual subject. I think
one even had the car pulling a trailer in the water. The last time I tried
to take a look I didn't get the video to work so maybe it's pay only now.
The club should consider copies. The ones I saw were neat.
Years ago I purchased the original press release photo's used by the amphi
ad agency in NYC. The press releases are attached to the photos. I thought
I copied them for the archives but maybe not. The ad agency is still in
business. I called them once and spoke to the owner who recalled the
employee listed on my photo's who handled the Amphicar account but he was
long gone. No trace of Amphicar Corp's account records were available
either.
I read about that old film purchase in one of the old newsletters which I'm
sure is on the site for everyone to read. I knew you bought Nichols car but
figured if you had the file we would have seen it by now. I wouldn't be
surprised if Hugh has it somewhere.
Mike
