Membership roster

Richard,
You are in deed all signed up as a full blown member of the International
Amphicar Owners Club (www.amphicar.com)
The Membership Roster is only printed once a year (mid February)....and that
is when the online list is uploaded. The reason that the list isn't always
current is because new Amphicar folks join all the time...so to save a lot
of maintenance, we wait until the "official" list comes out.
With that said, if anyone is looking for another member in their area and
they contact me, I'll of course always refer to the latest list and tell
them of EVERYONE I have listed. For instance, if someone is hosting an
Amphicar outing in Michigan and ask for all the members in Michigan, even
the new members would be included in the information I give them.
(Remember, membership information is never given to non-members, and members
are always have the right to be kept private even from members and not
appear on the Membership Roster)

Hope that clears it up...
Marc Schlemmer

Marc,

Enjoyed receiving yet another fine addition of the Amphicar newsletter along
with the accompanying 2003 Membership Roster. A very useful feature included
last year in the 2002 roster was the cross reference to owners by location.
When traveling across the country it makes it very easy to locate other Amphicar
owners to contact and visit. Please include the cross reference in next year's
roster.

Thanks very much,

Mard,
I second these remarks about the cross reference by state. I thought
it was a rather handy thing to have.

....sorry about not including the "State Listing" with the latest
Roster....but the Roster is larger this year, and including that state
listing would have added two pages....(and weight, and postage cost). I
hadn't heard comments about the state listing in the past, and assumed that
it wasn't really used, and not important to people. I see now that it is.
I've had others mention it to me off the Digest as well. Seems like it
should be included in the future.
In any case, Bill has just posted the latest and greatest Roster in the
"Members Area" of the club web page at www.amphicar.com Included in the
Roster that he has posted, is a Roster sorted by state. Simply stop by
there and you can print your own if you like. Speaking of the "Members
Area".....if you haven't been there in a while, there is a new password for
2003. It is found in the lower left hand corner of the March/April
newsletter.

Great to hear you've hit the road, Randy.....and great to hear that you,
like most of us, made your first drive on a stool! I sat on a 5 gallon
bucket! Keep us posted!

Marc Schlemmer.
