Maint. Manual update - How many parts in an Amphicar?

Chapter 1 is now completed and ready for print and PDF form. As this
chapter is VERY large in comparison to the rest, it took the most
time to do spell checks and formatting. The remaining 11 chapters
should be comming along soon. I have no target date other than soon
as they are ready. Sorry.

So here is my plan. They will be professionally laser printed, heavy
paper covers, spiral bound, *probably* 8.5 x 11 format, & landscape
orientation. I will offer a CD to be included as an option. These
will not be cheap, but rest assured they will not be 3rd generation
photocopies either. If you have any suggetions, let me now while I
can still make changes.

John Bevins

PS - Any guesses on just how many parts make up an Amphicar? I know!!

My feeling is that a beautiful manual might be nice, but it's inevitably
gonna get greased and oiled as you work on your Amphi. The CD will be more
valuable to me, since I have a decently large monitor, and the pdf format
will allow me to magnify and print a page of whatever I'm working on.

Regardless, thanks for the noble effort.

I saw this at John's house several weeks ago and believe me, it is very
professional looking.
The printing is clear and the size is just right to have as a handy
reference. John has worked very hard, I can tell.

I believe he had a laminated version that I saw.
Dunno if that was going to be on the finished product.
