Lip thoughts

I think in the long run it is better to go with what originally came on
car. True you will save about 800 dollars not buying Hughs patches. But
rest of costs will be similiar. True Hughs panels will need " tweaking".
The lip is a bit different than original but can be stretched to blend.
Some guys cut and weld together the lip. Others make wood "buck" and
pound out lip. Luckily for me last few cars have only needed short run
and I bead roll it out. On my new "It should be a parts car car" I will
not do raised lips. But mine will not be original in many ways nor will
it have the resale value. Freakin 35 degrees today so very glad we
played last week end. Later Dave the Wave
