November 3rd and 65 degrees in Wisconsin, what's up with this picture?
We took a very pleasant swim this afternoon on the Rock River. The
water was glass like; we only saw two boats the entire time we were
out. The lingering blue smoke and fantastic smell of burning leaves
crossed the river as we took this late season voyage.
We took our time cruising west on the river where we were hailed from
both banks as people worked their fires. We swam until the sun was
low over the hillside. After exiting on the DNR ramp we took a long
slow and lasting drive back home where we put our little cruiser in
her own part of the garage. We both hope this isn't the last swim of
the season.
