Tom,
as others have told you,, do not give up.

when it is finally done and you get out with 2 or 3 other owners down a
quite river for the First time it will be well worth it.

Trany's

if it beyond you ,take it out and ship it to one of the club members whom
can check it for you..I would not recommend a local trany shop.
All Tranys in ALL Amphicars Should be taken apart before they are used after
storage for that(30) many years.
I take them all apart and have not fond one that is not full of the
thickest gunkest goop
in the front bottom you have ever seen!
All gaskets and seals and most bearings are available from either me or
Hugh
And Hugh does have the 16-11 and a special machined set up to replace the
16-29 bearing
do not use anything but the proper AMPHICAR seal behind the water dive gear
