Hello Amphi Lovers,
just fired up Amphi for the first time this year and other than a dry
fuel pump and then a flooded carb, she was ready to go. I liked
Wayne's common sense Amphi tips yesterday that he gleaned from years
of experience. It would seem flooring the accelerator after shutting
the motor off, just shoots another spray of gas thru the pump, but
locking the throttle plate open would help the intake dry out. The
large main orifice used on these carbs does seem more suitable for a
toilet!
We just had a change today in Michigan Insurance law! As of today,
every vehicle insured will be assessed $100.20 for Michigan
catastrophic claims! The exception is vehicles with "historic"
or "Authentic" license plates which will be assessed only $20.04.
Since I have these plates on two of my classics, a quick call to
Hagerty just reduced my premium $160.00! So, if you are a Michigan
Amphi, this might be a great time to find that "right year" plate you
have always wanted.
