The November issue of Hemmings has an article on page 32 with the
sub-title "The wacky amphibian rides a wave of popularity" The writer
does a pretty good job of explaining that our cars have shot up in
price recently but that the $125K B.J. price in 2006 was an aberration.
He notes that in 2007 one went for $93K. Dave "The Wave" is quoted in
the article as saying corrctly restored Amphicars are bringing $60 to
$85K.
With all the discussion about parts prices we all should feel
luckey that we are in the game now and won't have to pay $85K for a car.
The parts we need will all come in time whether they are from
Santa Fe Springs or others who step up to make them.
We all should be glad that we are a part of a group where the
members care about and help each other.
