Gord,
Do you stop on the way? I'm down here in Charleston, SC, It's about 70
miles out of your way if you are coming down I 95. We have lots of history
here but no fresh water in town. The closest fresh water would be the lake
and lock at Moncks Corner only 40 miles off of I95. The lock is kind of
scary since the drop is 75 feet and it takes about 30 minutes after the lock
gates are closed. I rarely venture out more than 5 minutes from a boat
ramp but now that I have a modern bildge pump I can be talked into a little
more risk. There is also a famous catfish resturant with its own boat ramp
nearby. Let me know if your are interested in meeting.
