As you probably know I am not one that is at a loss for words often.
When I was awarded the Amphibian of the Year award followed by a
standing ovation, I was speechless. I wish to extend a most sincere
and heartfelt THANKS everyone! To be included in the same company as
Hugh, Mike, Bill & Mark (among others) is truly an honor and I am
humbled. It is obvious there are no better people than Amphicar
people!!!

The tech session was great as well. Lots of good questions and
pointers on our wonderful Lucas electrical system by Billy. I must
suggest next year that we have one on proper way to tie down your
Amphi. I saw a couple that scared me by the way they were secured. No
safety straps or tied to the wrong places altogether. Some dangerous
situations waiting for an opportunity.

WOW! What a weekend. It rivals Sturgis for sure. I had a very large
time. Awake for 36 hours, sleep for 6, awake for 40 hours, sleep for
7. We made it back to Colorado yesterday @ 8AM (I think) with no
problems. I did have to stop in Iowa @ midnight for a power nap when
the hiway split into 4 and then 8 blurry lanes! I am debating on
skipping Sturgis next year so I can extend the Celina "daze".
