Actually, they were not the owner, but were handling it for the owner-they
were very nice. I spoke with the owner himself about 5 months ago and he was
relocating to the East coast. He was not the nicest person I have talked to.
I bought another car as a result.

There was a Green '64 amphi for sale on ebay a couple of months ago. It was low miles (around 2800 as I recall) and appeared to be in terrific shape from the looks of the posted photos.A friend told me he saw it listed in Hemmings but when I checked the site I saw no mention. Does anyone know if that car is still available, who owned it or have any up to date info?

Tony,

I believe that Amphi was ran through eBay several times. As I recall
with my teflon coated brain, it was about $21 to $24K. NIce, but not
$24k worth. If your looking, email me privately as I have a runner 4
sail.

That green Amphi was (or still is) owned by Sahli
Enterprises of Newport Beach.

Call (949) 515-0989 to check up on it if you like. I
have no idea if it is still available and have no
connection to the seller.

Hello Tony,
I was down at Hugh Gordon's place, a couple of months ago, and the man
who bought that Amphi happened to drop in to buy some stuff for it. I
believe he was from Hollywood and he was very excited about getting
the car.
I looked very closely at those pictures and although the car was in
pretty good shape, it wasn't anything like perfect. A careful look at
the photos showed some rust issues. I also talked to someone who had
seen the car and passed on it because of the condition and the asking
price ($28,000). I heard the person who was showing the car, who
knows a great deal about these things, said it could use about $4-5k
to be almost perfect.
I don't actually know the final selling price but the seller once told
me he was going to hold out for the $28k asking price.
