<table style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff">Thanks John for the update on Gord. I just called Joanne also as I know she has been running around and busier than you name it. She told me that Gord has had very little pain and she knew that he was feeling better because he has started making out lists for her ! From the sound of it, he has gotten the messagefrom this "wake up call." For him to really slow down is going to take a monumental commitment on his part. However thanks to modern medicine, he will indeed have this second chance and if handled right it can mean he'll be fine from now on. Gord and Joanne visited us in their new motorhome prior to the Mount Dora Swim-In and we thereby got to meet Joanne and spent somequality time with them. Gord is a super person and a tremendous asset, it goes without saying, to the Amphicar family. As you also gathered, from what Joanne said, he is doing really well. He was, as we spoke, in transet from Toronto to the hospital near Orillia by ambulance which is about a one and a half hour ride she told me. Lets all hope his recovery is continuous and uneventful. I just got off the phone with Gord's lovely
wife Joanne and she said Gord is thankfully
doing much better. He will be moved to a
local hospital in Orillia today where he will
likely remain for a few days. Gord did receive
angioplasty and a stent to open a 100% occlusion
in his heart, so Gord will need to take it easy
and adjust his diet and activities accordingly.
I passed along the dozen or so email well wishes
I've received and Joanne mentioned she very
much appreciates the IAOC support and flowers
we've sent. Our continued thoughts and prayers
go out to Gord as he begins this new chapter
and second chance on life.

Be well, swim safe.

Glad to hear Gord is doing well. One of the nicest
people in Amphiland and one who has contributed to the
cause significantly.

I suspect that Gord is already busy scheming up the
design for a new and improved stent (fiberglass of
course) or even a mechanical heart of his own design.

Take it easy Gord, here is wishing you many more swim
meets to come.

Do you think Gord is having gills and fins installed "while they're
in there" too? ;) ;)

I spoke with Joanne too and she sounded upbeat and positive. Gord
did hand her a list of things he has been thinking about, so he must
be OK!
