We are putting together an Amphi in want of complete restoration.
Actually TWO Amphis will be sold as one. First is a nearly complete
(missing horn) raised lip Amphi. This car runs, motor smokes, trans is
used as is but believe to be good. Nice steel hood, good rebuildable
doors, all windows and hardware move. Drivers needs a new gear. Window
frames are solid needing rechrome or paint Nice windshield. Nice front
clip, Seat frame is complete but will also need some tlc. Top frame is
above average. I am also including a good gas tank, rechromed Amphicar
scripts, Nicer rear lights. Will have all side trim. Nice props. Engine
cover will be useable but with understanding that it is poor condition.
Can be blocked out for "daily driver" but will need to be replaced for
show. Decent steering wheel too. Has enough rust in rear hull area to
make this a challenge Amphi. So Cigar Guy "donated" his shell and title.
His shell has a lot more steel in it. So in next few days or so , Maybe
after Fabula Sabula this car will be hitting Ebay. I gaurantee it beats
the last car by leaps and bounds. Plus I gaurantee that I have built
tougher cars that are still happily floating! Later Dave the Wave
