This may be heresy, but is it possible to hold "Celina" at Lake Geneva
instead? It is a beautiful location and still centrally located. Just
a thought...
I think as a regional event Lake Geneva is great. Lake Geneva in summer
would be one scary Amphicar ride. There are no ocean going vessels at
Celina. Rooms at Geneva are more expensive. On the other hand it is
much closer for me! Later Dave the Wave

I agree with Dave. Lake Geneva was wonderful but given Lake Traffic
during the summer and the high cost of housing it would be a problem
for some members. I'd end up commuting each day from Chicago.

It would be nice to find a place that had a beach we could use.
Driving the car along the beach half in the water and half out was
the biggest rush I've had in the Amphicar in years.

In looking for a potential alternative site for the annual convention
we should consider a geographic move that allows people who haven't
been able to attend in the past to come. It wouldn't be difficult to
use the club's mailing list to map the concentrations of Amphicars by
geography.
