Generator question...



Hey all. Can anyone tell me an easy way to test the charge circuit on my 66?
The amp light is on all the time, and a previous owner has changed the
starter solenoid to the old external ford style. I think he may have wired
up the system wrong. I still have the generator and stock regulator on the
car. Just wondering if I can check to see if it is charging or if the system
is wired up wrong very easily. I'm thinking about converting to an
alternator and neg ground. The gas gage is the only thing I need to rewire
right? What about the wiper motor?
