Of course there will be a Mount Dora Swim In. This will be our 10th Annual Southeastern Amphicar Swim In. The 9 previous Swim-Ins have all enjoyed outstanding weather. Any of you who have attended one or more of these Swim-Ins in beautiful magical nostalgic Mount Dora will remember how wonderful they have been.

I personally talked with Terry Fiest, the Chairman of the Mount Dora Antique Boat Festival when I saw him at the Lake Mirror Classic a few weeks ago and he said the dates this year would be March 23-25th (Friday to Sunday). So, the big day will be Saturday March 24th, 2007. I anticipate that the Antique Boat people will again host a complimentary "Captain's Party" on Friday night. Just 2 days ago, Ireconfirmed the site of our Annual Amphicar Banquet Saturday night. More details and information concerning hotels and campgrounds will be forthcoming in the near future.

We Florida Amphicar aficionadoslook forward to seeing many of you there again and enjoying the beautiful sunny weather with you. Though the Amphicars are a special added attraction appended to the Antique Boat Festival, Our own Dave Monier will again handle the Amphicar attendee registrations directly ashe hasthe last two years, Dave has been thedriving forcesince the Mount Dora Swim-In's inception in 1998 when 3 Amphicars dared to steal part of the show's thunder. Ever since1998, the Festival goers have clamored for more and the Amphicars are now a much sought after facet of the event.
