Vic - That is "SNOW" We get a lot of it here in Colorado. We even got some more for Christmas! I know you may be a bit unfamiliar with it so I'll describe it as best I can. CCCCCCcccccccold and a pain in the ...
That FL Amphicar was originally from in Cleveland and spent some time in FL at the original owners (Amphicar dealer x2) son's home. I purchased it a couple years ago along with a literal truck load of parts and memorobilia. This car has a historical story with it. As it turns out it was on hand to be used be the Beatles to drive up to the stage in Cleveland in Aug 1966. This was yet another show that the fans rushed the stage and the show was delayed for a few hours. This is the point when the Beatles decided no more live shows would be done and concenquently the next show 2 weks later @ Candlestick Park would be the final public live concert.
I hope to restore it in a few years. Right now I have a 2 year customer waiting list so I don't see it happening any time soon.
On the plus side, the Amphicar is rapidly becoming the only practical vehicle for boating on Lake Lanier. How else are you going to drive from the boat ramp to the water?
